This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: Original scan converted to greyscale. Some sharpening. Brightness and contrast evened out (adjusted separately for diagonal centre section and rest of photo). Minor use of distortion tool at top right (to remove white strip). Cropped white strip from bottom. Some apparent dust specks and fingerprint removed; this aside, no retouching of specific details was done..
