  • Ein emailliertes Bronzeabzeichen wurde eingereicht, aber nicht als das Design für die Teilnehmerabzeichen der Berliner Spiele ausgewählt. Auf der Vorderseite befindet sich eine störende Nebeneinanderstellung von zwei sehr unterschiedlichen Symbolen. Nadel am rückseite.
English: * 1936 Summer Olympics badge
According to sports.ha.com, this enameled bronze badge was submitted as a design for the participant badge of the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics but was ultimately not selected. The design presents a striking juxtaposition of two highly distinct symbols. The badge has a brooch back and a diameter of 45 mm.
The circular badge bears the inscription "1936 XI. Olympiade Berlin" and prominently displays the Nazi Germany eagle-and-swastika emblem—the version used by the sports federation NSRL—alongside the Olympic rings (note the interruption in the middle ring).
This emblem does not appear to have been officially adopted. The 1936 Olympics were a major propaganda event aimed at an international audience, and the Nazi regime was careful not to overuse the swastika, as it could provoke negative reactions. Instead, they often employed more neutral or traditional symbols, such as the Olympic rings, the Brandenburg Gate, or an eagle without a swastika. See the official 1936 Summer Olympics emblem by Johannes Boehland, which features a bell with the national eagle grasping five interlocked Olympic rings, accompanied by the German phrase "Ich rufe die Jugend der Welt!" ("I summon the youth of the world") at the bottom.
