Jane Jacobs (født Butzner 1916 i Scranton i Pennsylvania, død 2006 i Toronto, Ontario, Canada) var en amerikansk-kanadisk forfatter og stedsaktivist.
Jane Jacobs mest kjente bok er The Death and Life of Great American Cities, som påvirket debatten om byplanlegging. Hun argumenterte mot byplanlegging basert på idealene til Le Corbusier, hvor skyskrapere og brede bilveier presset fotgjengere under bakken. Hun startet en grasrotbevegelse som stanset planlagt riving i Greenwich Village for å gjøre plass for en motorvei.[1][2]
